Get excited about the little things. About wearing a new outfit for the first time. About Sunday brunches with your best friends. About the new cute guy in your class. About finding an extra dollar in your pocket. About anything that even remotely makes you happy because as you grow up, passions fade and enthusiasm gets mistaken for foolishness. So don’t let the grey world stop you from shining.
When someone asks me why I love to run, it’s nearly impossible to explain, but it’s that moment prior to beginning when you tell yourself you can’t do it and you won’t succeed. But then seconds later you look around and realize you’re doing it, and the only reason you thought you couldn’t is your mind, and once you turn off that barrier and just run you see how possible it is. That’s the beauty of running.
